San Francisco Service Area
Door-to-door ground pet transport across the Bay Area — San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, San Jose, Marin, Peninsula. Bridge-aware routing, apartment-friendly pickups, and cross-country runs coordinated around Bay fog and Sierra passes.
San Francisco pet transport splits into two very different problems: the short-range hop within the Bay, and the long cross-country or cross-continent run. Intra-Bay trips — SF to San Jose, Oakland to Marin, the Peninsula to the East Bay — take as long as the bridges let them take. We route around Bay Bridge and 101 peak windows and coordinate gate access for Marin gated communities. On cross-country runs out of SF we leave via the Altamont or I-80 through the Sierra, which means watching the Donner Pass forecast in winter and avoiding Sacramento Valley heat in July and August.
SF is a tech-forward market and many of our Bay-area trips are relocations tied to job moves — job in Austin, job in New York, job in Seattle. We know the loop: pet arrives ahead of human, keys get dropped off by a property manager, we deliver into an empty apartment. Those coordinated handoffs are routine for us. We also handle a steady volume of senior and special-needs pets moving into Bay-area homes from out of state, and we treat those trips with the medical-case-by-case quoting they deserve.
Typical price ranges for routes we run most often. Every quote is itemized and personalized — these are starting ballparks.
Ranges shown are for standard, healthy adult pets. Brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, Frenchies, Boxers, etc.) and pets with medical needs are quoted case-by-case to reflect the extra care, monitoring, and coordination those trips require.
Bay Bridge eastbound after 4 PM and 101 northbound through the Peninsula between 7–9 AM can absorb an extra 90 minutes into a trip. We schedule Bay pickups around those windows. For SF-to-LA runs we leave the City pre-dawn via the 101 or westbound on 80 through the Altamont.
Cross-country from SF almost always goes east over the Sierra — I-80 through Donner or I-50 through Echo. From November through March we monitor chain controls and Caltrans closures daily. If Donner closes, we reroute south via Tehachapi — we plan that into the timeline before it's needed.
SF has tight streets, 2-hour parking in Pacific Heights, and loading zones that get ticketed aggressively. Our drivers pre-coordinate with building managers, pull permits where needed, and know the legal hacks (red zones after 6 PM in certain blocks) to load without drama.
Many Bay Area moves are corporate relocations. We regularly coordinate pet drop-offs to empty apartments via property managers, lockbox codes, or a trusted neighbor. Give us the contact info on the quote form — we handle the rest.
Door-to-door pickup and delivery across the metro. This isn't exhaustive — if your address is in the area, we can get there.
SF to LA typically runs $500–$1,100. SF to Seattle is roughly $1,250–$2,250. SF to Denver runs $1,950–$2,950. SF to New York crosses $4,900–$5,900. Short Bay Area trips (SF–Oakland, SF–San Jose) are our $500 flat-rate minimum. Brachycephalic breeds and pets with medical needs are quoted case-by-case. Every quote is itemized and delivered personally within two hours.
Yes, constantly. Many Bay Area moves are ahead-of-human relocations — we deliver into empty apartments via lockbox, building manager, or neighbor handoff. Provide the contact on the quote form and we'll coordinate directly. We've done hundreds of these; it's our default mode for tech relocations.
I-80 through Donner Pass is our primary eastbound route from SF. From November through March we monitor chain controls daily and check the 48-hour Caltrans forecast before every departure. If Donner closes, we reroute south via Tehachapi — a longer route but viable. We tell you in advance if a winter trip needs to flex.
Yes — both airports. We meet clients at SFO and OAK curbside for pet hand-offs, whether you just flew in with your pet and need them driven home, or you're shipping them out for an international flight. Put the airport as the pickup or drop-off on the quote and we'll coordinate the meeting point.
Coast-to-coast from SF is typically 4–5 days with proper rest cadence. That's not a limitation of the van — it's the cadence the pet needs. We don't advertise express cross-country runs; pushing past reasonable drive hours is how mistakes happen.
