Common rescue transport routes we run

A non-exhaustive list of state-pair routes that PAX runs frequently for rescue and shelter partners. These reflect actual seasonal animal-movement patterns — high-intake source regions to lower-intake destination regions where adopters and foster homes are waiting. If your route isn't listed, ask anyway. We cover every continental US lane.

Arizona → Utah / Idaho / Montana: a year-round puppy transport corridor (high Southwest intake, strong Mountain West adopter demand). PAX runs this lane often enough that we can usually slot multi-litter transports on short notice.
Southern intake → Northeast adopters: Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina shelters frequently transport to New England, the mid-Atlantic, and the Pacific Northwest. Spring and fall are peak volume.
California Central Valley → Pacific Northwest and Mountain West: high spay/neuter throughput in Bakersfield, Fresno, and Stockton rescues moves animals to lower-intake adopters in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Colorado.
Hurricane-corridor relays: Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas to inland or out-of-region partners ahead of storm landfall. PAX has run emergency-evacuation transports for shelters when forecast and capacity demand it — contact us early in the season for standby agreements.
Veterinary referral transport: long-distance moves to specialist clinics (oncology, ophthalmology, cardiology) where the patient cannot tolerate cargo air. Our medical-care tier handles medication schedules, IV catheter pets, post-surgical patients, and senior animals.
Breed-specific rescue: AKC parent-club rescue networks (Bulldog, French Bulldog, Boxer, Pug, Greyhound, Akita, Pit Bull) move flat-faced and large-breed animals where air cargo restrictions apply. PAX is the ground alternative built specifically for brachycephalic transport.

Frequency depends on intake volume, weather windows, and driver availability. Volume partners can pre-book multi-trip slots quarterly — email us with anticipated count and we'll block driver days in advance.
